Sally Tax, RN ยท Nurse Injector at Meesha Aesthetics

You, on a really good day.

Seventeen years of nursing, seven of them injecting. I treat conservatively, I protect the way your face moves, and I'll explain every decision before I make it. Most people start with a consultation, and there's no pressure to treat that day.

How I treat

Consult first. Inject second.

I look at the whole face

Before we talk about product at all, I want to see how your face moves and where things actually sit. Very often the thing you noticed isn't the thing causing it, and that changes the plan completely.

Less now, more later if you want it

I'd rather start conservatively and add at your two-week check than hand you a result you have to wait out. Adding is easy. The other direction isn't a thing.

You'll understand what I did

You'll leave knowing what went where, what to expect this week, and when to come back. If you can't explain your own treatment to a friend, I didn't do my job.

Common concerns

Tell me what you see. Not what you think you need.

You don't have to arrive knowing the name of anything. Honestly, I'd rather you didn't. Just describe what bugs you when you look in the mirror and we'll go from there.

Lines that don't leave when your face does

Forehead, the elevens, the corners of your eyes. That's usually a tox conversation, and you get to decide how much movement you keep. It's a dial, not a switch.

Your face looks tired when you're not

Cheeks flatten, temples hollow, and the midface quietly drops. Filler and biostimulators both help here, but they work differently and on different timelines, so which one matters.

Talk to Sally about filler

Something's off and you can't name it

Usually it's proportion. Chin, jawline, how the lips sit against the rest. This is the one where a real consultation is worth more than any price list, because the fix is often somewhere you weren't looking.

Your first visit

What actually happens, start to finish.

  1. You book a consultationThirty to forty-five minutes. A deposit holds the slot and comes straight off your visit, so it isn't an extra cost.
  2. We talk firstWhat bothers you, anything you've had done before, your timeline, your budget. Especially your budget. It's not rude, it genuinely changes what I'd recommend.
  3. I tell you what I actually thinkSometimes that's wait. Sometimes it's do less than you asked for. And sometimes it's that injectables won't fix the thing you're describing, which is a harder conversation but a fairer one.
  4. Same-day treatment is your callLots of people do it. Lots of people go home and think. Both are completely normal, and it doesn't change a thing about how I treat you.

Worth reading first

Know what you're saying yes to.

Short, honest explanations of the things patients ask me about most. No pitch in any of them.

Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, and why the name matters less than you think

What they have in common, where they genuinely differ, and why comparing injectors on price per unit tells you almost nothing useful.

Filler isn't one thing

Different products behave differently in different tissue. But where it goes, and why, matters far more than which box it came out of.

Your face changes shape, not just texture

Bone, fat pads, and skin all age on their own timelines. That's why great skincare alone sometimes isn't touching the thing that's actually bothering you.

How to spot a good result from an obvious one

What natural actually means once you're in the chair, and the specific thing to look for in anyone's before and after photos.

Consultation prep

Walk in with a list.

Pick whatever you're curious about and take the questions with you. This doesn't assess you and it won't suggest a treatment. It just means you'll remember what you wanted to ask once you're actually sitting there.

Before you book

The things people ask me in the parking lot.

Usually after the appointment, when they've relaxed. So here they are up front instead.

Does it hurt?
Tox is a few seconds of tiny pinches and most people are surprised by how little it is. Filler is more of a pressure feeling than a pain, and we numb first. Lips are the most sensitive spot, and even there, most patients handle it far better than they expected to.
Will people be able to tell?
They'll tell that something is different. They usually won't be able to say what. That's the whole goal, and it's why I start conservatively rather than doing everything at once.
How much does it cost?
It depends entirely on what you actually need, which is what the consultation is for. Tell me your budget in the room. I'd much rather build a plan that fits it than quote you something you have to politely decline.
Do I have to get treated at my consultation?
No. Plenty of people consult, go home, and think about it for a few weeks. Some never come back and that's genuinely fine. You'll never get a hard sell from me.
I'm scared of looking overdone. Is that reasonable?
Completely, and it's the fear I hear most. Overdone almost never happens in one conservative appointment. It happens gradually, over years, when nobody stops to compare against where you started. I take photos so we can.
How long until I see something?
Filler you'll see immediately, though swelling hides the real result for about two weeks. Tox takes three to five days to start and about two weeks to finish, so don't judge it on day four.
What if I don't like it?
Come back and tell me. With tox we can often adjust at two weeks, and it wears off regardless. Most hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved if it really comes to that. Say something rather than sitting at home unhappy.
Am I too young or too old to start?
Neither of those is really the question. What matters is what's bothering you and whether a treatment would actually address it. I've told twenty-somethings to wait, and I've treated patients in their seventies who got a lovely result.
Can I come back to you specifically?
Yes, and I'd prefer it. Seeing the same injector matters more than people realize, because I know what I put where and how your face responded last time.
How often will I need to come back?
Tox is usually every three to four months. Filler is anywhere from six months to well over a year depending on the product and the area. Nothing here is a commitment. It all wears off on its own if you stop.
Where do you see patients?
I'm at Meesha Aesthetics in Allentown, and appointments with me are booked through Meesha's scheduler. I also see patients in Coopersburg, and those visits are arranged by phone.
What should I do before my appointment?
Skip alcohol the night before and, if it's medically fine for you, hold off on fish oil and anti-inflammatories for a few days. Both make bruising more likely. Come with a clean face and your questions.

About Sally

Seventeen years in nursing. Seven of them injecting.

I'm Sally. I'm a registered nurse, and I see patients at Meesha Aesthetics in Allentown.

I didn't start here. I spent ten years in post-operative and telemetry nursing first, which is a long way of saying I spent a decade with people on their worst days, learning what safety actually looks like when it matters. That's the part of my background I lean on most. Not the artistry. The judgment.

The shift happened while I was working in same-day surgery. I kept noticing how much it meant to people to feel like themselves again, and at some point I realized I wanted to be on that side of it. I was also running a small eyebrow tattooing business back then. Sounds unrelated, but it isn't. It trained me to look at a face and see proportion before I see a procedure, and I still do that in every consultation.

I go to two or three hands-on advanced trainings a year. Not because anyone makes me, but because this field moves fast and I'd rather be the person still showing up to learn after seven years than the person who decided she already knew.

Here's what that adds up to in the room. I'll ask what's bothering you before I say a single word about product. I'll often tell you that you need less than you came in asking for. And if I don't think injectables are the right answer for what you described, I'll tell you that too, even though it isn't what you were hoping to hear.

My philosophy isn't complicated. The best results enhance what's already there. You should look rested and balanced and like yourself, and nobody should be able to point at the thing that changed.

Outside the treatment room you'll usually find me with a coffee. And one of these days, I'm going to see the Northern Lights.

Come and talk it through.

Consultations aren't rushed and you're not obligated to be treated that day. Bring the questions. Bring the photo you keep retaking.

For providers and creators

More from Sally.

Working in this room every day turns up problems worth solving. These are the ones I've been chipping away at between patients.

The tool I built for my own content

I kept trying to run educational content out of generic calendars and notes apps, and it kept falling apart on me. So I started building something around the way I actually plan and capture ideas between patients. It's still coming together.

Ask me about EMRs

I've spent a lot of time thinking about what practice software should actually do for an aesthetics provider. Charting, injection mapping, clinical photos, scheduling, inventory, and all the small workflow problems that traditional systems make harder than they need to be. I'm building toward that.
