What should I ask my injector?
Short answer
Ask what they would leave alone, how much movement you will keep, what the full cost is including follow-up, what the plan is if you do not like it, and how to reach them if something concerns you. Those five cover most of what actually affects your experience.

Patients apologise for asking questions constantly and they really shouldn't. The appointments that go best are the ones where somebody arrives with a list on their phone.
The question I most wish people asked is what I'd leave alone. It flips the whole conversation from a menu into an assessment, and the answer tells you an enormous amount about how someone thinks.
You're also allowed to ask how often I do a particular treatment. Nobody good is offended by that. And if someone is, well, that's information too.
About the plan
- Looking at my face, what would you treat first and why?
- What would you leave alone entirely?
- Is there anything I asked for that you would advise against?
- What would a two-year plan look like instead of doing it all now?
About the result
- How much movement will I keep?
- What will this look like at two weeks compared with two months?
- What will not change, even if this goes perfectly?
- How would you keep this from looking done?
About cost and timing
- What is the full cost, including any follow-up appointment?
- How often would I need to come back to maintain this?
- Is there a smaller starting point that still gets a real change?
About safety
- What are the realistic risks for this specific area?
- How many of these do you do in a typical week?
- What is your plan if I have a complication, and how do I reach you?
- What is your plan if I simply do not like the result?
Quick answers
- Is it rude to ask about cost upfront?
- Not even slightly. It changes what I'd recommend, so I'd rather know early than build a plan you can't use.
- Can I bring photos of results I like?
- Please do. It tells me more about your taste than any description, though I may explain why your face won't do exactly that.
- What if I don't understand the answer?
- Say so and ask again. If your injector can't explain it plainly, that's a problem with the explanation, not with you.
